Gram Panchayat Jogyari – A Health Camp, Vaccination and Insurance for Animal
Farming animals hold an important role in our homestead. From backyard farming to fulltime farming they have been producing milk, eggs, manures & fertilizers etc. And for the buildup of human health and energy level why don’t we start caring for them by providing fresh food, sufficient water, good space shelter & treatment and respect their natural living.
It is to know that a poor state of animal will result in the debasement of human sustenance and the time has come to think and understand its significance for sparing mankind.
This animal husbandry is being acknowledged importantly by SUVIDHA, an NGO works for rural development and also is renowned as the best NGO in Uttarakhand .
SUVIDHA abbreviated as Society for the Upliftment of Villagers & Development of Himalayan Areas is a nonprofit, rural development and voluntary organization founded in the year 2004 which aims at eliminating poverty, unemployment, poor health and illiteracy for 60% of citizens who still live in the backward areas of the nation. organized Animal Health Camp, Gram Panchayat Jogyari – A Health Camp, Vaccination and Insurance.
The health camp was organized at Simalkha a village in a Village in Betalghat Mandal in Nainital district in Uttarakhand The Area of Gram Panchayat is 126.529 Hectare which includes 111 households with a population of 602
According to the Integrated Livelihood Support Programme, Gram Panchayat Jogyari comes under Development Block Betalghat. 105 Families were Connected to Producer Groups (PGs).13 Families Connected to Vulnerable Producer Groups(VPGs).In Gram Jogyari Integrated Livelihood Support Programme was Initiated in the Financial Year 2015-16 and will be continued till the completion of the Project. A Total of 622 Families were Connected to the Jai Maa Ambe Aajivika Swayath Cooperative. A Total of 8 Gram Panchayats which Includes 65 Producer Groups, 14 Vulnerable Producer Groups were connected to the Integrated Livelihood Support Programme.
This Integrated Livelihood Support Programme, Producer Groups were connected to other related departments and Policies which provide benefits to PGs and VPGs.
According to the Same Policy in Village Jogyari Animal Husbandry Department Conducted Animal Health Camp at Regular time Interval.
Dr.Garima Bisht and L.E.O Nidhi Bisht Solved Queries related to Animal Disease among
PGs and VPGs.
Both of them Informed Animal Owners regarding the following
Wounds and Injury
Foot and Mouth Disease.
Gastric in Stomach
Reduction in Milk Capacity.
Pregnancy-related problems in Animals.
Dr. Garima Bisht provides useful Information on Above Mentioned Diseases also provided treatment to the Sick animals which Include First Aid Treatment along with Free Distribution of Medicines.
Livestock Officer Mr. Uavendra Kumar Speaks about Milk Production, Nutritious Fodder Crops, Silage, and Animal Health Management. Mineral Mixtures and Calcium was distributed in presence of Livestock Officer Mr. Uavendra Kumar.
Animal Insurance: Animal Health Camps were organized at regular time Interval In these Camps Dr. Nidhi Bisht Informed peoples of Producer Groups and Vulnerable Producer Groups about Animal Health Insurance and Its Importance and Benefits which are as follows:
In Case of the Sudden death of Animal, the Animal Owner gets Claimed amount as per the Value of Animal according to the Insurance taken.
From the Department of Animal Husbandry, Regular Animal Health Checkup Camps were conducted at different Locations which areas:
Along with above-mentioned Information, Animal Insurance Procedure was initiated in which L.E.O Nidhi Bisht and Livestock Officer Mr. Uavendra Kumar Initiated Procedures of Insurance Policies regarding Animals. They also Distribute Animal Health Cards followed by Distribution of Free Mineral Mixtures and Other Medicines to the members of Producer Groups and Vulnerable Producer groups.
The outcome of this journey so far has been highlighted below:
A Total of 26 Goatery and 15 Milch Animals Insurance were done.
A Total of 10 Animal Health Cards were Issued.
Vaccination was done.
